On Feb. 22, 2019, the Dean Caryn Beck Dudley of the Leavey School of Business and Linda Goler Blount, President and CEO of the Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding, agreeing to work together in an effort to address challenges members of the Bay Area community face with health equity.

The partnership is the brainchild of Santa Clara’s own Prof. Michael Santoro, a management and entrepreneurship professor in LSB, and Linda Goler Blount, CEO of the BWHI.  Prof. Santoro has been a management and entrepreneurship professor at Santa Clara since 2016. His interest for health equity took off when he realized the full extent of inequalities prevalent in he bay area.
